Kokeshi Doll Paper Pieced Pattern - NEW PATTERN

Kristi lived in Japan for 3 years while her husband was deployed there for the Air Force.  They were able to visit many places and she fell in love with the country.  You will see a lot of different blocks inspired by Japan because of this.  

Here is one of those patterns.  We will try and blog about all of these patterns soon.

Pacman Inspired Quilt Block - New set

This is the beginning of another set for us.  I can picture this finished quilt to look just like the screen in the Pacman game.  It would be a great quilt for those retro gamers in your life.  We will be adding more blocks in the future to include ghosts, cherry's and more bubbles.  

I think this block alone would make a great coffee mat or table runner.  There are so many ideas that this simple block could be.

The Grinch inspired Christmas quilt block

Grinch Inspired Christmas Block

This is such a fun block for Christmas.  We will be adding more to this collection before next Christmas.  This is a intermediate level paper piecing block since there are a few smaller pieces involved in the fingers.  There are so many fun ideas that we could do from this movie.  This is just the first of many blocks to come.

Christmas Blocks - Basic 6 

We have been busy this year getting into the Christmas spirit.  We have a bunch of paper pieced patterns finished.  Some are basic and a beginner level and there are a few more complicated patterns.  These would all make a great quilt but there are many possibilities for them.  My set of 6 basic Christmas blocks will eventually (maybe by next Christmas) be a set of place mats for my table.  l also plan a wall hanging out of one of the larger blocks.

Nautical Collection - Paper Piecing Patterns - In testing phase

Nautical Paper Piecing Quilt Set

This is one of my favorite sets so far.  We are trying to work on sets of 4-6 at a time instead of random patterns.  This helps us by already having the fabrics out and coordinated and when we are finished we can use the blocks to complete a quilt.  We both have a bunch of random blocks laying around with no plan on how to finish them.  

This nautical set will eventually be a quilt for my bedroom.  We have a nautical theme going and I WILL finish this quilt one day soon.  

Here are the three blocks that we have finished so far.  We have a whale, Wheel and Life Ring still to go.
